Executive Director
Acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer
Alexander has been working in the industry for 30 years and has a recognised reputation for drive and energy, a diverse and established network, and a purposeful and confident leadership style.
Alexander was most recently the Deputy CEO of Antares Managing Agency and prior to that their Active Underwriter. He worked at a broking house for his first 6 years and then moved to underwriting at AXA Re where he cut his teeth as a Property Treaty Underwriter.
Chief Operating Officer
Al is a dynamic Actuary set apart from others by his creative approach to problem solving. He brings a focus on data, technology and automation to the team and has more than 20 years of experience working in the London Market across a number of roles, most latterly as Chief Actuary & Head of Analytics of DARAG, a run-off provider, and then at Fidelis as CFO of their new Syndicate. Despite his obsession with data he still firmly believes it is the people beyond anything else that make a business great.
Chief Financial Officer
Sarb has been working in Finance for over 30 years in the Lloyd’s market with positions held at Whittingtons, DP Mann, Faraday, SVB, Novae (now Axis), Charles Taylor (now Premia), and contract roles at Torus Ariel Re and Liberty. He has had extensive experience at held numerous positions at senior levels within the Finance area. Having held CFO and Board roles with PRA and FCA approval, Sarb joins us at Lime to provide his expertise to assist in the setup and approval of a Lloyd’s Managing Agency and Syndicate.
Chair, Non-executive Director
Henry graduated in Law from Christ’s College Cambridge. He served as an insurance broker in the London market for 15 years dealing with clients in the UK, Ireland, France and the USA before switching to underwriting in 1995. From 2002 he specialised in managing insurance businesses in run off in London, Sweden and Singapore as well as resolving litigated insurance liabilities across all classes and numerous jurisdictions across the world particularly USA. From 2014 he gradually moved to more non-executive roles. He served as Chairman of Barbican Managing Agency prior to its acquisition by Arch Capital and remains a director of R&Q Capital No 1, Livery Companies Mutual and City RE in addition to responsibilities at Lime. In May 2022, Henry was elected as Chairman of Finance for the City of London Corporation.
Non-executive Director
Colin began his career with the Royal Insurance in Liverpool and specialised in Marine insurance for twenty years, culminating in the role of global practice leader of the Marine business of the then merged Royal & SunAlliance company. After that he became CUO of RSA’s UK Commercial business, leading it through a period of portfolio improvement that included the 9/11 losses. With the business returned to profitability Colin then became Underwriting, Claims and Risk Director of the International Division of RSA. After five years in this role, Colin led the due diligence of a major specialty lines business acquisition in Canada, and moved to live in Toronto to support the integration of the business where he also assumed the roles of CUO and CRO. At the end of 2014 he left RSA and became a Non-Executive Director of the Hartford’s Lloyd’s business and served on their board for seven years. He now brings his extensive experience of Underwriting and Risk to Lime to support the syndicates under management in these vital areas.
Jeremy is currently CEO of Equitas, the insurance business running off all of Lloyd's policies written prior to 1992. He also sits on the board committee of the division within UK Government Investments seeking to strengthen liability expertise within government and improve how government manages its portfolio of risk from contingent liabilities. He is a qualified chartered accountant with significant experience as a non-executive, including chairing boards and committees in the insurance sector as well as other businesses such as Universities and music exam providers. His experience thoroughly equips Jeremy to chair the Audit Committee and to support the Chair as Senior Independent Director.
Liz joined the Lime Board in May 2025 and is Somers Group CEO. She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, with a focus on risk management. From 2016 to 2019, she served as the Chief Risk Officer for Nautilus Indemnity Holdings Ltd. and its subsidiaries. Prior to joining Nautilus, Liz was a partner at Deloitte Ltd. and led the Actuarial, Risk and Analytics practice across Bermuda and the Caribbean region. From 2006 to 2009, she worked as a Financial Risk Manager in the Insurance & Investments division of Scottish Widows, part of Lloyds Banking Group in the United Kingdom. Liz commenced her career in 2003 as an actuarial consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd. Liz holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics from Heriot Watt University and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School. She is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (U.K.) and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary.
Stephen is a seasoned general counsel and governance professional with over 25 years’ experience in insurance law, regulation, and corporate governance. During that time, he has advised directors and executives on fiduciary responsibilities, legal and regulatory developments, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic corporate transactions. His track record of successfully navigating complex legal landscapes and anticipating emerging risks enables Stephen to offer valuable guidance to the Board and to collaborate with executives on legal and regulatory matters. As a governance professional, Stephen is committed to ensuring that Lime and its directors uphold high ethical standards and remain accountable to stakeholders.
